Ringgit opens broadly higher against US dollar, other major currencies
The ringgit opened broadly higher against the US dollar and other major currencies on renewed demand for the domestic currency, a dealer said.
At 9.15 am, the local unit firmed against the US dollar to 3.6005/6045 from 3.6150/6180 yesterday.
The local currency rose against the Singapore dollar to 2.6982/7018 from 2.7060/7103 yesterday and strengthened against the yen to 3.0037/0083 from 3.0117/0147 on Tuesday.
The ringgit was also traded higher against the British pound at 5.6395/6479 from 5.6607/6669 yesterday and gained against the euro to 4.0387/0442 from 4.0701/0750 on Tuesday.- Bernama
