LTC merges Brighton school, closes London

In its September 14 newsletter to agent partners, the company announced it will merge its Brighton school with LSI Brighton at the end of September.

The company confirmed the merged schools will operate under the LSI name from November and will retain the current LTC building.

It also announced the closure of LTC London at the end of the month. LSI has agreed to take on students from all ongoing and upcoming courses at its two schools in London Central and Hampstead.

LTC’s London homestay accommodation in Ealing will continue to be available.

The announcement to close the London location came two days before another London school operated by Language In Group suddenly closed its doors on September 16.

LTC UK’s flagship school in Eastbourne will remain open under the direction of Paul Clark.

“Under the direction of Paul Clark we are eager to focus even more attention on LTC Eastbourne to ensure we continue delivering the best experience for your students,” the newsletter says. “We also want to take this time to assure you that our current relationship, in relation to LTC Eastbourne, will not change.”

In the newsletter, LTC told its partners that it believed the changes “are for the good of your students, changes that can offer the most positive future”.

All three of LTC UK’s schools have been operating for more than 25 years and teach more than 6,000 students from over 50 countries every year, according to its website. Its school in Eastbourne has been operating for more than 60 years.

Founded in 1965, LSI operated a network of schools located in UK, Canada, the US, Malta, New Zealand or Australia, France and Switzerland.
