HTC 11 to come with 8GB RAM and Snapdragon 835 chip?

The HTC 10 is one of the best looking Android phones selling in the industry today. According to a new report, the successor will be even better. It is said that the HTC 11 will feature an incredibly powerful hardware specs sheet, including 8GB of RAM and the Snapdragon 835 octa-core chipset. The RAM capacity alone has gotten tech freaks excited, as it could well be the first Android smartphone to have 8GB of RAM on board. Whether that much RAM can actually be utilized by a mobile device is a different story.

It is said that the handset will also mark the comeback of dual-cameras. The company will apparently use dual 12MP sensors on the back, while the front will apparently use an 8MP sensor.

Leaked renders suggest that the smartphone will come with a 5.5-inch Quad HD (2560×1440) display, an increase in size compared to the predecessor. This makes sense given that HTC’s flagships have always been on the smaller side, in the conventional sense anyway.

While there’s no word on when the smartphone will be announced, one can speculate that the HTC 11 will officially break cover by June or July this year. Ideally, HTC will want to unveil its flagship much after Samsung, LG and the likes have already revealed their offerings. Going by the rumored specifications, it seems like HTC is building every Android fan’s dream phone.

Rumored hardware specifications of the HTC 11:

Display: 5.5-inch Quad HD (2560×1440) panel
Processor: Octa-core Snapdragon 835
Camera: 12MP dual rear cameras, 8MP front camera
RAM: 8GB
Storage: 256GB
