Baba Ramdev’s brother detained after Patanjali clash; one dead
Yoga guru Baba Ramdev’s brother has been detained after a clash broke out between between the security guards of Haridwar-based Patanjali Food and Herbal Park and supporters of a local truck union on Wednesday – one person died in the clash while four persons were injured in which gunshots too were reported. Haridwar SSP Sweety Agrawal said police have detained Baba Ramdev’s brother Ram Bharat, and some others. The dead person was a transporter and his name was revealed as Daljeet Singh. Autopsy report is awaited, police said. The clash was initiated after truck union supporters wanted Patanajali Food reserve transportation jobs for local truck owners – Patanjali engages transporters from outside at cheaper rates. (PTI)
