Major League Baseball hits the transition day in the middle of the week with ten games on tap for this Thursday.  There are three afternoon games in Boston, Detroit, and Houston before seven games on the slate for tonight wrap things up. To help you get your fantasy baseball lineups ready for whichever window and whatever format you are playing today, let’s take a look at some of the best batter vs pitcher matchups lined up for today.

Each morning to help you find the most favorable batter vs pitcher matchups to attack, you can find my top 10 batter vs pitcher matchups here at Fansided. I try to include a variety of teams and positions while listing the hitters with the best head-to-head record against their probable opponent. Fantasy owners realize that success in the past doesn’t guarantee  future results, but previous head-to-head record is definitely a factor to consider when selecting your players.

Let’s get to today’s top ten batter vs pitcher matchups from the ten MLB games schedule for this Thursday.

Alcides Escobar-SS-Kansas City Royals: As the Royals and Indians wrap up their three game set, the Royals will look to follow up beating Corey Kluber last night with a win over Trevor Bauer today.  Escobar could be a key to KC’s success since he is 4-8 (.500) against Bauer in the past with a double and an RBI.

Seth Smith-OF-Seattle Mariners: Most of the Mariners don’t have much of a track record against Erasmo Ramirez since he played for Seattle for so long.  The one exception to that is Seth Smith.  Smith is 4-11 (.364) against Erasmo in his career with a pair of doubles, a home run, and a pair of RBI. Smith is a solid sleeper play for tonight’s action.

George Springer-OF-Houston Astros: If you are playing in a format that allows you to utilize this afternoon’s games, I’d suggest loading up on Astros against Wei-Yin Chen including George Springer.  Springer is 5-9 (.555) against Chen in his limited experience against him including a double and a home run.
